The expansion of the St. Louis airport required Bill Thomas to relocate his business and, consequently, the opportunity to improve his facilities. He found a location along Highway 70 on the western edge of town that not only had space for his dealership, but it had acreage for future developments. Through his extensive research of other dealerships around the region, he knew what he wanted. Our task was to provide it in an economical facility. By assisting with preconstruction services, the whole site was master planned and graded to take best advantage of moving the on-site soil where required rather than hauling off or hauling in. Overall, five acres were paved and fenced for outside display of campers and recreational vehicles. Although browsing through the extensive sales lot is encouraged, access is controlled by requiring entrance through the inside showroom. Retail parts for sale are located conveniently just inside the door on the left. A 6,000 sq. ft. mezzanine is located above the parts and office area. The five pull-through service bays are located at the rear of the facility with perimeter electric and compressed air. The floor in the service area also slopes to the perimeter drains for easy cleaning. Outside, an overnight RV parking area was created with full water, sanitary and electric facilities for new RV owners to stay and get acquainted with their purchase or to test new amenities and repairs.
